This is an agricultural area specializing in pomegranate, almond, and lemon trees among others. Spain is the leading producer of olive oil and wine but Italy and France get all the glory! We also see fields and fields of sunflowers that are the brightest yellow.
We drove along the Sierra Nevada mountain range that still has a bit of snow at the top. Getting closer to Valencia we saw the resort area of Costa Brava along the Mediterranean. Wherever we've gone in Spain we've seen lots of blooming jacaranda trees.
The group is great. No one has been late and we are making new friends along the way. Our guide, Beth, is the best! She has been with Collette for 6 years and is a great help and full of detailed information for us.
The weather has been almost perfect. We had a little rain in the beginning and cooler but soon after it became warmer and dry with sunny skies. We only had one really hot day and it's supposed to be in the 70's until we leave.
