Kakadu has been on my bucket list for years, probably since I saw Crocodile Dundee. OK, it wasn't a great movie, but it was filmed in Kakadu and the scenery spoke to me. So, Rand and I booked a 2-day tour to wee the area. The park is located within the Alligator Rivers Region of the Northern Territory. It covers an area of about 7500 sq mi., nearly half the size of Switzerland. |

The cultural and natural values of Kakadu were recognized internationally when it was made a UNESCO World Heritage site in stages between 1981 and 1992.
